Application

The cable is rated at 600 volts and 90°C for use in wet and dry locations. XHHW-2 building wire can be used in conduit and other raceways for services, feeders and other applications recognized by the NEC. Sizes 1/0 AWG and larger (4 AWG and larger in green) are cable tray (CT) rated. Sizes 12 - 4/0 AWG meet UL 44 standard for Thermoset-Insulated wires and cables. Also meets NEC Article 310.13

Conductor
  • Compact stranded AA-8000 series aluminum alloy (ACM) per ASTM B801 or B836

Insulation
  • Thermoset cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) meeting the requirements for XHHW-2 per UL 44

Product Features
  • Cables are UL listed as Type XHHW-2
  • Temperature rating of 90°C dry and wet
  • Sunlight resistant 8 AWG and larger
  • Lead free
  • Bare conductors are heat treated after stranding for maximum flexibility
  • CT Rated 1/0 AWG and larger upon request

Additional Standards
  • Meets UL 44: Thermoset-Insulated Wires and Cables
  • Meets or exceeds the requirements of NEMA WC70/ICEA S-95-658
  • NEC Article 310.13

Notes
  • 60˚C - When terminated to equipment for circuits rated 100 amperes or less or marked for conductors sizes 14 through 1 AWG.
  • 75˚C - When terminated to equipment for circuits rated over 100 amperes or marked for conductors larger than size 14 1 AWG.
